Call signs:

HAM and marine radio nets keep us in contact with local, and distant cruising boats as well as weather information.
E-mail is retrieved almost every day. It must be text only (no attached files). We use pactor III on the HF radio and an SCS Ptc2e. This provides 100 to 2000 baud transfer rates depending on the time of day and the conditions in the ionoshpere.
We subscribe to both winlink and sailmail e-mail systems. These systems also provide weather data via "grib files" and WEFAX .gif files.
