70 miles offshore crossing the Oregon / California border in a 5ft swell, 10 - 15 knots of wind from the north, and sushine.

Harmonica's crew is eating well, rested and cheerful in contrast to the first day after motoring out of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The computer, which was allowed space to leep off the chart table and divide into 3 pieces, is back together, and the boat is behaving very well. Rick Ellis, in Sidney has kept a radio schedule with us each evening and provided us with sugestions and forecasts.

Saw 2 dophins and a whale on Friday, but no mamals since. On Friday night we met the tuna fleet which was a mass of fishing boats which took us about 6 hours to manouver through causing some entertainment for the 2 night watches. Our new radar is full of features and has been wonderful. The wind vane has been steering us for most of the last 3 days.

We hope to be under the Gloden Gate bridge on Wednesday or thursday this week.
