Harmonica

Pop!!!!

The sweet sound of the cork being removed from the bottle

We made it!!!

Toasted ourselves with Champagne as we sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge earlier today

We are currently at the Schoonmaker Marina in Sausolito

Since talking last we have have had Gale Warnings and they actually came true. Two days of 20 to 30 knots with gusts higher and seas of 12 to 15 feet with some interesting extremes.

One crew member was heard to mutter (rather loudly) "Will this damn sea ever stop going up and down!!"

Just like being on and exhibition ride for a few days with a crazed operator (the admiral)

Jan and the admiral came into the cockpit just in time to see a killer whale off the starboard quarter. They were even more amazed to see Gord pull it on board where it was found to have a tag identifying it as a made in Taiwan and purchased in Sidney. Blowing it up in the aft cabin under cloak of darkness was a treat. Noise was not an issue. Wait for the pictures of synchronized gymnastic orca jumps in 25 knots of wind.

Under extremely trying conditions supper was an absolute event

What was going to be Bits and Bites, Knorr Soup, Potatoe Chile, and Chocolate Jello Pudding morphed into Barnacle Bits and Bites, Naughty Knorr Soup, Well done (burnt to a crisp and chared beyond recognition) Potatoe Chile, followed by twice flung round the galley Chocalate Jello Pudding. The teak now has a beautiful brown hue.

In sync with the pudding, 3 unbreakable plates ----- broke!!!

A small measure of the seas we were involved with.

The chefs (who will remain nameless) survived as did their spirits

"Storm Tactics by the Admiral"
Lets set the sea anchor
Wait for the book!!!!

Bulletin -- Bulletin!!

Banana peel found at bottom of companionway at the height of the fracus Gordo pirouttes (Oxford definition --- a spinning movement of the body while balanced on the point of the toe or the ball of the foot) with amazing grace and decorum. All quite amazing as most of this is happening in complete darkness and at a 20 degree incline.

Some one is testing us
